When you join, you become a member of a community of hikers, and a direct supporter of local hiking trails. As a member of this community of hikers you will meet new people to hike and share the outdoors with. Through your participation, you can influence the type and number of organized hikes offered locally. Through your membership, you help fund the material, equipment and services required to maintain the approximately 250 kilometres of the Grand Valley Trail Association footpaths.
Members can choose to purchase an annual membership or a lifetime membership. The annual membership runs from April 1 to March 31. Dues paid after November cover the remaining membership year and the following year. An annual membership fee is $30 per household.
A lifetime membership is $600 per household. A tax receipt is provided to the person who has paid for the lifetime membership.
Members of a household become members of the GVTA on purchase of a membership.
Members are encouraged to participate in the maintenance and construction of GVTA trails, club administration or other activities. See Volunteering with us for more details on volunteering and listing of current volunteer opportunities.
