Seven Rivers Series: Hike # 4 - Pine River - 11 km

About this series: The Seven Rivers hike series covers seven rivers over three Bruce Trail Sections: Blue Mountains (3), Dufferin Hi-Land (2) and Caledon Hills (2). From Pretty River in the north, to the Humber River further south, plus a few others in between, we will explore the 'Headwaters' and learn about some of the history of these rivers and also about watersheds and where and why they flow where they do. There is total of 7 hikes. Come for one or come for all. You can complete the hikes on your own if you are not able to come for some of them, to be able to purchase the badge.

About this hike: Fourth hike of this series will let us discover Pine River. If condition are fine, we might extend the hike by 2 km.

Pace and duration: Moderate, 3 km/h  About 5 hours 
Hike level: Strenuous (3), hilly with some poor footing. 

Parking and departure: Roadside parking at Whitfield Church, 677002 Centre Rd, Mulmur (at 10 Sideroad), (44.148953, -80.135927). Parking is free.

Directions: Please use your favourite GPS app to obtain directions.
 
What to wear and bring: This is a late fall hike. Dress for the weather, and bring water and snacks, lunch. Hiking boots recommended, hiking poles if you prefer but not essential. Poles and possibly icers are recommended depending on weather conditions. There will be some hills with difficult footing in places.
