About this hike: This hike will be in Carolinian Crest: North Brantford/South Paris section. This hike starts where Powerline Rd dead ends at the SC Johnson Trail parking lot on the east side of the Grand River. We will start by walking up a short section of the rail trail before heading into the woods onto the GVT, then continue through a wooded area to a lookout over the river, before arriving at a stile and heading downhill to a farm meadow. After the farm we walk a short section of quiet road before getting back on the rail trail to the starting point. The hike will mainly be flat but there are several short hills.

About this series: Jewels of Grand Valley Trail is a series of hikes highlighting the beautiful parts of GVT in all 4 sections. Those hikes will range from about 6 km to 15 km. They will be led by Jeanette, Jane, Eva and Brandon through months of August to October. Come and enjoy the beauty of our trail!
