About hike: The trailhead is on the Avon Trail, where the Avon Trail turns north into Schneider's Bush and away from Carmel-Koch Rd. Look for a wide entrance with a chain spanning two posts at the entrance, a white turn blaze and an Avon Trail sign.
From the trailhead we’ll begin by following the Avon Trail, continuing by winding our way on a network of intersecting, unmarked trails, looking for and stopping often to admire the wildflowers, including Trilliums and marshes full of Marsh Marigolds. We'll visit a memorial to Fred Schneider, have a look from the lookout near that memorial and then navigate our way to a lookout over Sunfish Lake. Finally, we'll navigate our way to a trail exit to make a loop out of this hike.

Optional Lunch after hike lunch at The Symposium in Waterloo. Please email Ron, ronaldcherry002@gmail.com,  if you will be joining the group for lunch.
