About hike: Consider watching the video to appreciate this unique gem of an urban forest in Kitchener: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bb1ZwNZlj9E. Starting at the trailhead off of Bleams Road, we will complete 3 loops (1.8 km each) of Steckle Woods giving some walkers a chance to sit out the second loop if needed. Prepare to be amazed at the healthy vegetation of in the middle of the city!

She plans to walk the Camino one day. With GVTA, Eva leads short urban hikes (around 5 km) in the region on weekdays, explore local natural areas and interact with other nature lovers.
Where: Steckle Woods, City of Kitchener Length: 5.4 km Category: Loop Pace and duration: Moderate, 3 - 4 km/hr. About 1.5 hours. Hike level: 1 (easy). The path is a mix of crushed gravel and woodchip mulch. Exposed roots may cause tripping hazard. Comfortable shoes are recommended.
Parking and departure: Meet at 9:50 am at Steckle Woods Parking (GPS 43.409386, -80.463167). The hike will start at 10:00 am sharp.
