Leader: Janice
. Meet at 12:55 pm for sign-in and carpooling in the plaza behind Burger King at Victoria and Bruce St., Kitchener, near the expressway. Call leader if you wish to meet in Limehouse.
This is a perfect hike for a summer Sunday afternoon, east of Rockwood and Acton. In the wooded area we'll see remnants of the 1850's kilns used in the lime industry and the Bruce Trail follows along escarpment rock to the Hole-in-the-Wall. We will need to climb a wooden ladder here and hop across a narrow crevice but for the most part the trail is generally easy. Great photo-ops of the river flowing into the Credit River watershed as we will also hike the Black Creek Side Trail. From our parking location we will walk a figure 8 loop trail. Bring water and bug spray.
