Annual General Meeting

The GVTA fiscal year runs April 1 to March 31. The annual general meeting (AGM) is typically held in May, and always within 60 days of the end of the fiscal year, consistent with the association bylaws. At every Annual General Meeting, the following business is transacted:

  • Reports are heard and received, including the report of the Officers, the financial statements and the report of the auditor or financial reviewer, any other reports and statements required by the Corporations Act;
  • A budget for the upcoming year is presented and put to a membership vote for approval;
  • Directors are elected to all directorships not occupied by directors with unexpired terms;
  • Any other business properly brought before the meeting.

The AGM is usually scheduled in May. Details regarding date and location of the AGM are published two months before the meeting under Announcements.htm
